Build up some layers by letting it cool down in between. When satisfied with the thickness, add wax a last time to soften the whole and press your stamp in before letting it cool down and removing it slowly. If you want, you can use the stand as a wax mold (print it in ASA then as well). Making the stencil often requires special equipment, materials, and experience, and sometimes the result still fails.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen I saw the idea of inserting mesh during 3D printing, I wondered if it could be used to create screen printing stencils.\u003cbr\u003eAfter searching online and not finding anyone doing exactly this, I decided to try it myself.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eFeatures\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eNo emulsion or traditional screen making process required\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStencil can be produced using a normal FDM 3D printer\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSuitable for small-batch production\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCan produce durable prints that survive washing and tumble drying when using proper fabric ink\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere are some limitations:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFine details are difficult because the mesh is coarse\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe stencil size is limited by your printer's build plate\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe durability may be lower than a traditional screen depending on the design\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHowever, for small production runs it works surprisingly well.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOther methods like printing directly on fabric with a 3D printer or heat-transferring TPU prints often lack washing durability and cannot withstand tumble dryers.\u003cbr\u003eUsing proper screen printing ink with this stencil can produce prints that are suitable even for products you intend to sell.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eBuild Plate\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA smooth and flat surface is recommended for best results.\u003cbr\u003eHighly textured PEI plates are not ideal because the texture can transfer to the stencil surface and cause ink bleeding.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis model is currently set to use the Textured PEI profile in Bambu Studio, but some textured plates are much flatter than others.\u003cbr\u003eIf possible, choose the flattest build plate you have.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAdditional note:\u003cbr\u003eSuperTack build plates can make the stencil difficult to remove after printing.\u003cbr\u003eThe strong adhesion may cause the tulle mesh to tear when peeling the stencil from the plate.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePeel the stencil off slowly and carefully, or consider using a thicker and stronger mesh.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eMaterials\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor making the stencil\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePLA or PETG filament\u003cbr\u003e(ABS can also be used, but some solvent-based inks may dissolve ABS.
