(PLA since these are being used indoors.)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cu\u003eMy print experience:\u003c\/u\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe boxes looked great on the outside, but on the inside, the “ceiling” did not print perfectly; there was a bit of loose-filament spaghetti…\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSince I did not want the speaker's resonance vibrating those loose strands of plastic, I flipped the boxes over (so that the spaghetti was now on the “floor”), and mixed\/poured some casting epoxy into each speaker, to solidify everything up. I used 16oz, split between the two boxes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWorked like a charm, and added some density!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI also used some house insulation inside the boxes for dampening.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe speakers I used ($46 CDN \/ pair):\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ca target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer ugc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/dp\/B089QNSXG2\"\u003ehttps:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/dp\/B089QNSXG2\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI used M5x40 self-tapping screws to hold the speaker grilles, decorative front piece, and speakers in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI used M4x12 for everything else (the XC sockets, and a couple in each speaker to initially hold them in the right place, prior to affixing the fronts and grilles with those bigger screws.)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you make a build, please share with pictures!
