It also helps with durability since layer adhesion at least with what I used was much better than PLA or ABS\/ASA. Stuff is basically indestructible.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eInstalling the light strip\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs far as attaching the light strips, I cut mine in 4 parts (beware they are not all the same length) and soldered them with small pieces of electrical wire, then hot glued each of the corners where the wires go around in case the adhesive back fails and to also to add some strain relief to the solder points. It can be difficult to solder to the strips, I have seen people successfully bend COB LED strips around the corners but I think cutting it has the cleanest look. This is fine for little things here and there but with thin walls like in the original model I remixed, it has a habit of just snapping off.
