I printed it in ASA because I already had some on hand. It has a M8 x 1.25 thread which the cap screws into from the shiny side of the sun shade. It was fairly tight but it did screw down all the way. I had the correct sized tap so I cleaned up the threads anyway. It was fastened to the shaft with some small metal pins.
