The design takes advantage of that and you can attach a compatible fan that will help keep the electronics cool.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe Pi5 features a power button to switch the board on and off. An integrated flexible button   on the front side of the box gives you the opportunity to use it.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eAlso:\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe design is more robust. Assembly relies on brass inserts and M3 bolts. No more screwing into plastic. You can assemble and disassemble without fear of breaking or loosening the parts.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe assembly itself Is much easier, as I spent a lot of time to make sure you can reach every necessary spot in the parts with a screw driver.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eI even thought of a special hole beneath the ethernet connector so you can unclip it without having to unattach the Raspberry Pi if necessary.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eParts list:\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePETG\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eM3 stainless steel Hex Socket Head Cap screws: four M3x10mm to attach the fan to the cover, eight M3x6mm to attach the 2.5 SSD drives on the sides of the cradle, four M3x4mm to attach the Raspberry Pi 5 to the bottom of the cradle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSixteen 5.7mm long with 4.6mm diameter base M3 brass threaded inserts: four for the Raspberry Pi, four for the fan, four for the feet (under the cradle), and six for the cover to attach it to the cradle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA Raspberry Pi 5\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003etwo SATA Hard Disk Drives (you may use only one though)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003etwo very short SATA USB cables with thin connectors, I used a Sabrent model (\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.fr\/gp\/product\/B011M8YACM\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003eSabrent USB 3.0 to SATA cable\u003c\/a\u003e)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003esome heatsinks and a fan for the Pi (\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/amzn.eu\/d\/i7ngTMc\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003elike this\u003c\/a\u003e)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eone ethernet cable\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eone power adapter. WARNING: the Raspberry Pi 5 can power the HDDs but only if you have a good 27W power adapter. Otherwise, you will encounter many malfunctions, such as one or both your disks not mounting or regularly \"disappearing\"...\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eAssembly\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's pretty simple if you respect the order. Be patient and cautious.
