I wanted loading and removal to be as easy as possible, so here it is: a simple spring-pin, and a full enclosure of the outside edge of the blade.

The print is two pieces. To assemble, glue is not required, although I would recommend a little. All you have to do is slide the top piece into the bottom piece as shown. There are teeth in the top piece that will lock into the bottom piece and hold it together. If you want even more stability, or you want to lock two blade holders together back-to-back, there are small holes that run vertically through the two pieces. You can either put thin metal wire (Like a bent paper clip) through them, or put some filament through them with some glue. It will not interfere with the blade.

I know 100% infill is overkill, but this piece is holding a blade. It is guaranteed to get damaged over time. Also, for durability, I do not recommend printing this in PLA.

The bottom piece must be printed WITHOUT supports, and the top part must be printed WITH supports. I have already taken care of this in the 3mf file, but be aware of this if you slice the files yourself.

I included the Blender file for this as well. My Blender work is quite terrible, but it created a working result, and I believe in open source, so if you want to adapt it, help yourself.

Happy printing!

Design by nab622 on MakerWorld (license: BY-SA).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0987/0809/5280/files/0_61f0edf7-4d24-4c57-8373-4ff7397c3425.png?v=1785809612
