It might take the slicer a bit of time to uncompress the 3MF files and slice the model. Also, most of this model prints on supports, so good bed adhesion is essential. The support design comes from \u003ca target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FilamentFrenzy\/status\/1464984048162455554\/photo\/1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"\u003ethis Filament Frenzy tweet.\u003c\/a\u003e (This is an improvement on the support design that I used for the version in the photos.)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWarning: \u003c\/strong\u003eThese take a long time to slice because of the complexity of the models and supports.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eFull-sized brain, in halves\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis model is designed to be printed in halves, with supports, and each half has a pause to insert magnets that will hold the brain hemispheres together. The included 3MF files should have these pauses and supports already included. Printing through Bambu Studio\/Bambu Handy will pause correctly, but not when printing through Octoprint (in that case, you should print directly from SD card\/USB drive.)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe magnet holes are cylindrical: 5.3mm(D) x 3.3mm(H), designed for \u003cstrong\u003e34 5x3mm magnets\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003ca target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\/Magnets-Crafts-Strong-Whiteboard-Kitchen\/dp\/B09GLWMN7N\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"\u003elike these\u003c\/a\u003e).  The holes are included as a slicer modifier, so if you want different sized magnets, you can remove these and add your own.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen inserting the magnets, I recommend adding a drop of super glue into the holes before inserting the magnets, to keep them from rattling around in the finished print. Also, be sure to check the orientation of the magnets when you insert them, or the brain halves will pop apart instead of sticking together!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI recommend printing this on a smooth surface (eg, not a textured\/satin sheet) so that the halves mate together nicely.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eBrain stand\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe stand prints with no supports, and you should be able to just set the brain into it when finished. I used wood PLA filament to make it feel like a really display stand.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eFull brain (no split or magnets)\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eI have also included a file with the whole brain as a single piece, with no split and no magnet holes.
