Latched Keycap Storage - (Semi-)modular book-sized keycap storage containers secured by draw latches

Instructions

1. Choose the correct keycap profile and number of levels to print.
   1. For 3 levels: 1x 3L top, 2x any mid, 1x any bottom, 4x 3L latches
   2. For 4 levels: 1x 4L top, 3x any mid, 1x any bottom, 4x 4L latches
2. Take each latch, line them up with a slot on the top piece with hook facing inside, push it into the slot with a bit of force.
3. Stack up the levels, hook the latches onto the bottom, and pull them tight.

Features

• Pick and choose the right design for different keycap sets, support for either 3 or 4 trays/levels, either taller (KAT/OEM/MDA/etc.) or shorter (Cherry/GMK/KAM/etc) keycap profiles, and several different layout options (QWERTY base kit, all rows, ISO, or all 1Us).
• Secured by draw latches on all sides and tight spacing everywhere means no keycap will move outside of its slot even if the whole box is tossed around.
• On the other hand, the slots are not too deep as to make the keycaps difficult to remove, and side openings are built into the top cover to help separate the levels easily.
• Book-sized outside dimension means they are easily stored and displayed on bookshelves.
• Colorful plastics to store your colorful plastics – plenty of surfaces for multicolor print customizations. Labels and patterns on the cover, or just on the latches to save time and filament.

Notes

• The latches come in 2 pieces and are easily printed in-place, but printing them separately works just as well if you need to.
• YMMW but latches I've printed with matte filament came out weak and broke quickly while all the rest are just fine.
• Checkout my earlier design if you're looking for a more freeform storage option for keycaps that requires less filament and print time.
