Pastamatic Large Spool to 1KG Roll - 5KG and 8 KG

Update 03/08/2026: Added a set, per request, for 8kg to 1kg respooling. Should also work with wider spools up to ~6.5" wide and ~14" diameter.

Increased the length of the crossbars to 250mm.

Note: You can use the 5kg and 8kg craddles for 1kg supply rolls, all you need is the optional female spindle. I've had some 3kg spools work with the 5kg female spindle. The 8kg set is untested by myself as I do not have an 8kg roll.

Due to the variance in spool dimensions, some may not work. Feel free to let me know, and I'll try to help!

I wanted the OG PastaMatic (by GekoPrime) to respool my Bambu spools from 5kg rolls.

I remodeled the source spool cradle to hold a Sunlu 5KG roll, but I imagine it will work with other brands and sizes 5kg or less. Keep in mind you will have to print the 1KG female spool spindle that is unselected on the build plate if you wish to transfer from a 1KG supply roll.

Since this is essentially a slightly larger version of GekoPrime's design, it uses all the same bearings as well. QTY 14 608 skate bearings.
