{"product_id":"spudger-set-electronic-disassembly-tools","title":"Spudger Set (Electronic Disassembly Tools)","description":"\u003cp\u003eFollowing a discussion I had with @ThatMakerKid, I wanted to create my own set of 3d printed spudger tools inspired by the iFixit spudger designs but with a geometry better suited for FDM printing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI decided to create 3 models to achieve different tasks I needed a spudger for:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003ci\u003espudger-pencil\u003c\/i\u003e: a simple wedge \u0026amp; tip spudger similar to the classic \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/eustore.ifixit.com\/products\/spudger\" rel=\"nofollow ugc\"\u003eiFixit Spudger\u003c\/a\u003e \u0026amp; \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.printables.com\/model\/213088-electronics-spudger\" rel=\"nofollow ugc\"\u003e@ThatMakerKid original design\u003c\/a\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003ci\u003espudger-wedge\u003c\/i\u003e: a flat wedge \u0026amp; hook spudger which doesn't require any support when printing which is closer to the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/eustore.ifixit.com\/products\/halberd-spudger\" rel=\"nofollow ugc\"\u003eiFixit Halberd Spudger\u003c\/a\u003e or the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.printables.com\/model\/126425-narrow-channel-cleaning-tools-and-spudger\" rel=\"nofollow ugc\"\u003e@AlwaysTinkering design\u003c\/a\u003e. Pretty useful for tighter spaces and unclipping connectors\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003ci\u003espudger-large\u003c\/i\u003e: a larger spudger with a similar design to the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/eustore.ifixit.com\/products\/heavy-duty-spudger\" rel=\"nofollow ugc\"\u003eiFixit Heavy Duty Spudger\u003c\/a\u003e more suitable for bigger electronics such as computers or home appliances\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003cp\u003eThese design all takes the shape of an octagonal shape to reduce the requirement for raft layers or support around the shaft while being still pretty comfortable to use with their pencil like shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003ePrinting\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis model should be printed at 0.10mm layer height with 100% infill, I also recommend to use supports and a brim when printing the \u003ci\u003espudger-pencil\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003espudger-large\u003c\/i\u003e model to ensure the tip comes out clean and the wedge is not deformed by a heated bed.
