sunlu-spool-drawers2024-model-vase-mode
Sunlu spool drawers(2024 model) vase mode

These are some storage bins for the sunlu spools. I've printed a couple models but they were not really matching my spools and they were way too heavy for my needs, so I had a go at designing some myself. Sounded like a pretty good first project!

These are designed to be printed in vase mode. Anything over a thickness of .42 for the outer wall will give a usable drawer - this comes in at 13grams. I've printed mine at .55 or .6, both are pretty nice. .7 and .8 give a “premium” feel. Adding a third bottom layer also feels nice but it's not really needed.

There are 2 models - 1 fits a m3 30 inside which sits flush with the spool underneath so spools can be stacked. The other one has a slot that runs top to bottom allowing for a top(gravity) mounted m3 30 or my preference, a 22awg wire that will also hold the stack of spools together. The slit in the slot is just big enough to allow the 22awg to be pushed through with a bit of force allowing for the drawers to be removed if needed.

Both models also have a slot for a divider. The divider is in the same printing file, but it should not be printed in vase mode!(couldnt find a way to print in different modes based on the plate)

After the bottom layers are done, you can crank it up to ludicrous mode without any issues (sunlu pla+, 225C).

Design by Costopher on MakerWorld (license: BY).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0987/0809/5280/files/0_98daa14f-5feb-4f7c-8110-a62df9d34d20.png?v=1784487008
