Arris Surfboard S33 S34 Rack Mount Adapter

A rack mount bracket that allows you to mount your cable modem into your network rack no matter which width of rack you have.

My contribution is the creation of the 40mm fan cooling end cap. 

- The solution was built and tested with 2x 40mm 5V fans.
  (Note, tolerances are tight with the fans but I left the modifiers in place, allows you to increase the space if needed.)
- There is a channel to re-direct the fan power cables out the back. Please install the furthest fan first. 
 

2 different end caps

 - Bolt / Nut - have recesses to allow you to use a nut and bolt for securing the fans.

 - Threaded Inserts - can install 4-8 threaded inserts into the body to secure the fans. 
 

Parts:

To attach endcap to body
4x M3 Threaded Inserts (L5 would be most ideal but any length is acceptable)
4x M3-.8x20mm bolts (10mm length if not using the cooling endcap).

To secure fans to endcaps
 *You don't need all 4 per fan, you can use 2 per fan. 
4x-8x M3xD5xL3 Threaded Inserts - (L3 is the ideal depth). 
4x-8x M3-.8x10mm bolts - (10mm is the ideal length. Shorter or longer will not reach or over extend.)
2x 40mm Fans (40x40x10mm) - 12v fans will move more air but will also produce more noise. 5v and 12v fan options are available online. Remember to also acquire a splitter cable and an appropriate power supply to operate the fans.

Modifications:

The end caps have all the modifiers available for you to make adjustments. You can re-size the endcap easily in case you want to use thicker 20mm fans (via BambuLabs Studio).
