Bambu Studio PETG Temperature Test Tower
This PETG temperature tower is adapted from OrcaSlicer's built-in calibration model and tuned to also work reliably in Bambu Studio. It prints a stack of blocks, with the nozzle temperature stepping up at each level, so you can test a range of temperatures in one print and find the best setting for your PETG filament and printer.
What to check on each block:
- Stringing – fine hairs between features (usually worse at higher temps)
- Layer adhesion – how well layers bond together
- Extrusion – smooth, consistent walls vs. under/over-extrusion
- Bridging – sag or drooping on bridged sections
- Surface finish – gloss, texture, blobs, or zits
The best temperature is usually the block with minimal stringing, clean bridging, and strong layer bonding — without the excess gloss or oozing that comes from running too hot.
The included 3MF file works in both Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer. This design has been tested through 6000+ successful calibration prints across multiple filaments and printers (per MakerWorld data), giving consistent, repeatable results. It's a quick way to dial in PETG, PETG-HF, and PCTG profiles before starting longer prints.
Picking your temperature: If several temperatures look good, pick the middle one for balance. For higher flow rates or faster speeds, lean toward the higher end for better layer bonding and extrusion stability.
