Cascading Shoe Rack
You don't really have a shoe problem, you have a shoe storage problem. But with this expandable rack, you can cascade up to 8 pairs of shoes in a single string on a typical height door, and most doors will accommodate two strings of racks for a total of 16 pairs! The rack hooks over the top of a door (closet or otherwise) or it can be screwed to a wall. Each section just clips onto the one above and gives you good visibility and access for picking out your shoes. The backs of the heels just slip onto the angled heel hooks.
Most interior doors (at least in the US) are 1 3/8" / 35mm and exterior doors are 1 ¾ / 45mm thick, and I've included hooks for both types. And if you are only hanging a few pairs of shoes and you want them down a little lower from the door top, I've included optional extension straps you can print.
Pro Tip: If you've got certain shoes that won't stay hooked easily, just wrap a rubber band around the heel hook for increased friction.
Assembly
All parts just press together. Take two of the rack sections and one of the cross straps (all on the first 3MF plate) and press the rack sides onto the strap. Then cascade your rack sections, hooking one to the next. Print either the 35mm or 45mm door hooks as needed and clip onto the top rack section. Note you can also skip the door hooks and just screw the racks directly to the wall.
