Christmas Advent-Calendar JukeBox
This is a daily advent calendar Jukebox. It's purpose is to dispense a ‘Cartridge’ once a day when you pull on the candy cane, which contains a QR code to a song link and a piece of chocolate. However I have uploaded a blank cartridge so you can customize whatever you would like to be dispensed!
The current cartridge layout has 2 holes, one for a QR code and one for a single piece of Lindor chocolate. There are also two editable text blocks, one for the date and one for a small comment about the song for the day.
I printed everything in BAMBU PLA Basic with strengths of 15%, except for the central axle which should be no less than 50%. Support structures will be needed.
This version uses multi-filament printing but this should be possible with a white filament, a brown filament and a little bit of red paint.
ASSEMBLY
- Place the cartridge sled (with the gear racks) into the bottom of the main body
- Fit the pin into place in the bottom of the sled. Optional: add a drop of glue to hold the pin in place but not enough to hold the sled
- Insert axle into side of body and thread on the following components in this order: widest ring > one gear > longer cuff > second gear > shorter cuff. (Optional: add a dab of glue to the widest ring to hold the axle in place.
- Glue the candy cane into the hole in the side of the axle so the arch is facing forwards.
- Super glue the side frames and front frame to the front and sides around the windows in the body
- Superglue the white buttons into the two holes in the front
- Add all of your cartridges into the body in order (day 1 on the bottom) and place the top piece onto the body
- After cleaning the front edge piece, press it down through the rings on the top corners of the body. Pushing it all the way down until it rests in the feet of the body on the lower corners. This should also hold the top piece in place.
FOR ADDING SONG QRCODES
- Use Bambu's ‘Image to Keychain’ tool in the Makerlab
- Upload your screenshot of a song's QR code
- Click Download > Open in Bambu Labs
- Change scale (proportionally) to 40x40mm (width should be roughly 0.8mm)
- Press in the divot in your cartridges, a press-fit should be enough but add glue if needed.
