Create and Generate Plant Labels for your Garden

Customizable, colorful, and stylish plant labels for your garden. They only require a few grams of filament each, even with color swaps. Compared to store bought labels these are more durable and easier to identify.

These labels are completely parametric and you can change the size, shape, style, color, font, and text by adjusting a few settings. Or you can print the pre-made collections I've sliced here.

Label Settings You Can Adjust

• Generate a large variety of labels, a single custom label, or both at the same time.
• Label shape
• Label Border
• Border size in mm
• Border inset
• Emboss or Flush
• Mirror label on both sides (May make printing more difficult due to tiny details being printed on the first layer. Consider solid emojis if you do this option.)
• Colors for the label body, text, border, and emoji
• Text, font, style, size, and alignment for line 1
• Text, font, style, size, and alignment for line 2
• Emoji size and alignment
• Emoji solid or outlined (Outlined emojis can be difficult to print when mirror label is enabled due to thin walls being on the first layer)
• Label width, height, and thickness
• Ground spike style and size
• Custom label text and emoji
• Advanced: Text height, used to adjust thickness of embossed elements (not applicable when emboss is disabled)

Recommended Print Settings

The default label settings are optimized for your printers default 0.2mm profile.

• Start with 0.2mm profile. You probably don't need to change anything unless you made text/emojis smaller in the customizer.
• If you make labels with very small text / emojis:
  • Quality > Wall Generator > Arachne
  • Quality > Wall Generator > Minimum Feature Size = 15%

What Filament Should I Use?

I used PLA / PLA Matte for my labels. PLA is not a petroleum based plastic and I prefer it in my garden vs. PETG or other petroleum plastics. 

Many people warn against using PLA in direct sunlight, but I have personally never had an issue with prints that are not load bearing. You can also find many experiments on YouTube with PLA being left outside in the sun and/or buried in dirt for many years with only color fade occurring.
