Customizable Lampe Shades
This lamp shade can be scaled along with the inner ring and connectors. You can have as many sides as you’d like to size the lamp to your preference. The model shown (and the one you’ll download) has a top diameter of 225 mm (8.8 in) and a bottom diameter of 241 mm (9.5 in).
You can edit or change these diameters by using the circumference of the circle divided by three.
If you modify the diameter, make sure the layout matches the original with cube modifiers on the side pieces, and ensure that variable height is enabled so the sides can slide smoothly into the connector pieces. There are a ton of variations that can be done with this model so share them down in the comments.
Assembly is very straightforward, and I’ve provided visuals below.
(Be sure to calibrate and dry your filament beforehand, as the tolerances are very fine.)
If any piece doesn’t slide in easily, check the two lips on the side and shave a small amount off the end to make insertion easier.
Align the side panels together, keeping short on top, long on bottom.

Slide the connector piece with the holder onto the top of the shorter side, and then slide the bottom connector up, attaching it to the two connected sides.

Repeat this process for all remaining sides, slide two side panels into a connector with the holder, then add the bottom connector.

Lastly, snap the inner ring into each holder, and gently push the sides inward so the inner connector locks into place.

To take it apart, remove the top connector with the holder first, then detach the bottom connector.
