Compact, super loud signal whistles you can take anywhere.

About the Whistle:

The Flat Signal Whistle is the successor to the widely used Flat Pocket Whistle. With a thickness of just 4 mm and a weight of only 2 grams, the Whistles fit easily into narrow pockets, can be worn comfortably around the neck, and attached to any keychain. In large quantities, they are space-saving and efficient to transport, making them easy to distribute.

Versions and Variants:

The Flat Signal Whistle is approximately 4 mm thick and comes in four different versions, each available in two variants. The versions differ in design, number of chambers, and size— giving you the freedom to choose the one that suits you best.

Print time and Filament Consumption:

  • 2 grams of filament
  • ~ 6 - 10 min with Core-XY printers
  • ~ 20 - 25 min with older bed slingers

Dimensions:

  • Version 1 and 2: 46 x 22 x 4,2 mm
  • Version 3 and 4: 42 x 15 x 4,2 mm

The Difference from Its Predecessor:

While the sound of the predecessor exited from the sides, the Flat Signal Whistle now emits sound from the front. This allows for a more directional sound output. Additionally, the whistle offers improved brilliance. Its thin and compact design remains unchanged. It’s also still possible to customize the whistle to your preferences—logos, patterns, and more can easily be added to the top and bottom surfaces.

How to Print:

I recommend using a nozzle size of 0.4 mm, a layer height smaller than ≤ 0.2 mm and a wall thickness/perimeter value of 2 - this ensures a correct bridging! If the value exceeds 2, it unnecessarily complicates bridging and reduces stability. In this case, less is more.

Don't use supports! It's very important that the first layer is perfect, because the wall thickness at the top and bottom is only 0.65 mm. If your printer is well leveled, however, there should be no problems.
