How I modified the original:
I first started with the hollow egg with threads, but that proved more difficult so I switched to the solid egg. I split the model in two pieces and hollowed them out. Then I added the pieces to hold magnets embedded into the plastic.
Print Instructions:
- Using Bambu .3mf profile I've uploaded
- pauses are already inserted at the correct layers (there will be two pauses, one for the top of the egg and one for the bottom)
- once paused, check magnet fit - apply a dab of superglue in the bottom of the holes if magnets are loose (this will prevent them from jumping up and sticking to the nozzle)
- repeat steps for the 2nd pause
- Using the stl files or another slicer/printer
- When you slice the file, you must add two pauses to the print just before the layer that seals the internal cylinders (the holes where the magnets are embedded)
- The 1st pause is added on the last layer before the holes on the top of the egg close

- The 2nd pause is added on the last layer before the holes on the bottom of the egg close

- Double check to ensure the pauses are in the correct place so printing will be successful
- Now print, and wait for the pauses
- once paused, check magnet fit - apply a dab of superglue in the bottom of the holes if magnets are loose (this will prevent them from jumping up and sticking to the nozzle)
- repeat steps for the 2nd pause

- PLA (any other should work ok, but PLA Silk Dual Color look phenomenal)
- Supports:
- Recommended for the bottom (build plate only)

- .16mm (other heights should work ok)

- Infill:
- 15%
Parts Needed
- 8x - 6x3mm magnets
- [optional] Super glue to secure magnets
