Mini magnetic chess set for travel

I designed this mini magnetic travel chess set for when the wife and i go camping. Takes over 100 3mm x 2mm magnets.

The chess pieces are originally designed by @Riboflavin_142148 in Printables.com. I altered the pieces to allow the magnets to insert. I designed the travel board set around his chess pieces. so this is still an original design by me.

Obviously print the chess pieces and tiles in 2 different prints with opposite color profiles. I went with traditional white and black.

Magnets will fit tight in the board, i used a small hammer to force them in.

After magnets are set, add each tile with a small drop of glue. (takes time and patience, i know).

The hinged lid has tabs to help with alignment. Again , add a small drop of glue along edges.

Magnets will also fit tight in the chess pieces. no glue is needed. Just hammer them in.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to keep in mind the polarity of the magnets are attracting each other before setting them or you will have to re-print each piece and body again.
