Replacement Door Knob Rod 1900s Design
A better door knob rod than what is sold today. This model is a recreation of the stock doorknob rods I have in my 1900s home that are obsolescence proof! Modern rods are designed to fail after a few years of use and have weak threads to secure the knob. With this older technology there is a hole which completely secures the knob without any opportunity for failure by design. If you need to replace your 1900s rod, or are tired of replacing your modern rods over and over, then this is the design for you!
I have posted a 3mm wide perforation as well as a 3.85mm perforation to accommodate brass heat sink threads that you can implant with a soldering iron. This door knob rod is 7mm wide and fits most doors in America and UK as far as I have learned. I have only printed in PA-CF to ensure utmost strength but the supported geometry of the robust design should survive with any material. As with all materials, they have their weaknesses and will succumb eventually to environmental degradation. Keep this in mind so you don't pull the rod apart some day and get stuck in or out of a room! When in doubt, use the strong stuff that will survive any environment!
You can find an ever-growing library of door knobs to give a tug in my uploads! If you have any request, please let me know!
Suggestions for Ratings and Reviews:
Please take a moment to write why you are rating the value you choose, especially if less than 5 stars. This not only helps any creator improve a design to further benefit your future use, but also helps fellow consumers make their own determinations and modifications where necessary. A mere standalone rating of less than 5-star helps no one, as no one is aware as to why you are displeased and where the shortcoming is. It may even help you better understand your printer and how to utilize it as an issue may often lie with the preparations you have made or failed to make.
