180° Locking Torsion Spring Hinge

This is a fully 3D printed locking hinge using compliant torsion springs and flexible hitches to rotate and lock at 180°. The model can be scaled up and down due to its simplicity and be printed with most rigid filaments (PLA/PETG recommended). There is a flipped version for other orientations. Spring dimensions and material can also be changed to adjust force of the spring.

This was originally designed for deploying solar panels and worked well in real world testing in conjunction with a 90° locking spring hinge.
