Set of six water themed Flexi fidgets for the classroom. Created then modified in nomad sculpt before finalising in Bambu Studio and minimising the need for any supports.

The original files are left in place with cutters/eyes removable so that if you want to take them and make your own changes you are more than welcome under the attribution licence-please upload as a remix. Cutter used is courtesy of Cunning Creations, please give them a like or print!

I have also left the set as commercial allowed as I know if you have a child hoping to set up a little stall it can be hard to find things that are free to sell. Please consider sending your prints from the app for the points.

Multiple profiles uploaded so that depending on what you need for your classroom you can print easily from the app. If I've missed any set ups let me know.

A few things to take note of:

  • You need a clean bed and good adhesion for printing flexi's.
  • All are deliberately sized at approximately the same size to prevent arguments among children.
  • There are single colour versions of all of them included for those who want to avoid waste
  • Highly recommend dual colour filaments for the fun but bear in mind that silk is a lot more fragile if you are printing for students/children. My students are older so its not a big issue for me. Increase the wall count if you need to.
  • I was testing on an X2D with a second nozzle so you'll see a few that take advantage of that set up
  • The testing of the bulk profiles was done on the X2D and I did watch the first layers as adhesion is critical for bulk printing of flexi's
  • Beware sizing down and the impact on the joints. This is one of the reasons I did not boolean the cutters, it was deliberate to allow you to increase the cutter back up to a decent strength if you do size down the main model to prevent them being too fragile.
  • Single colour and flush versions look awesome particularly if you use a chrome paint marker for the eyes. It saves a lot on filament if you are working on a single nozzle printer and allows for variety. I'll upload a plate or two of what I did on this.
