Big Grommet

EDIT:

• "Big Grommet - in metric.f3d" can be customized with Maker World's Parametric Model Maker.
• Use the ‘Customize’ button above:
  • This system allows you to customize the model by editing dimensional parameters
  • This system doesn't seem to allow parameters with mixed units.  i.e. inches.  The base unit of my original Fusion 360 file was in mm, but some of the parameters where in inches, which Fusion allows.  But this doesn't work in the Model Maker.  So I converted all measurements to metric to make it compatible.  So multiply by 25.4 to convert inches to mm.

I had cut a 4" PVC pipe to run wiring through drywall to a server room, and needed to clean things up.  This model serves that purpose.

The idea is to download the Fusion 360 file, and as long as you can

• load the model
• navigate to Modify > Change Parameters and adjust the diameter to fit what you need
• export

 … you can repurpose this model for your own big grommet.  Or just use the ‘Customize’ button above.

Note: the included STL and STEP files are the sizes I used.  In my case, I had used bent metal strapping with screws to secure the PVC to studs, which flexed the pipe out of shape a little .. so my size is 3 7/8" diameter.  Super unlikely this is what you need.  Of course you can scale it.

Print face down, no supports needed.
