Summary

This is for the popular brick model kit 92176. Combine it with my mini fig wall mount for the full display: https://makerworld.com/en/models/956152

I needed the rocket to stand a little more upright than the 45 degrees of the original piece, so I changed it to about 60 degrees.

While doing this I also removed the two pins and replaced it with one large pin, for me this is easier to print and less prone to snapping off, you can add a few drops of super glue (or print ABS and acetone weld) to make it never come out, but I also had it on my wall just held by gravity for a bit.

I also removed the fillets on the arm and added a few more triangles to better mimic the original launch tower look.

On the lower mount I added a little notch and foot to hold the rocket slightly better in case it gets bumped on the wall, this also helps spread some of the weight of the rocket on to the inner circle piece behind the engines now that it stands more upright than before. To make it fit, un-snap the little black & white panel, slide it in to the printed piece, and snap the part back on while placing the rocket (see pictures).

Notes:

I printed everything with 3 walls for extra strength, gyroid infill.

Support is only needed for the thruster mount, I printed with the supports on the part that touches the rocket so you can't see it once done.

I included a screenshot of the print orientations I used.

You will need to print:
1 lower mount
1 middle mount
2 arms
