Brick Name Tag

Having a party for the kiddos and looking for unique party favors? Going to a geeky conference (e.g., Comic Con) and wanting to wear a whimsical-yet-practical accessory? Volunteering at a community event and needing an eye-catching name tag? Then look no further!

This is a customizable brick name tag to wear as an accessory. Not only can you personalize the name on the tag, the frame is also compatible with brick pieces, so you can decorate the frame of the tag with small bricks. It's a relatively fast print (30 minutes on an A1 Mini) with minimal color-change waste. I provide two different plates for you here--one for a single name tag, and one for the “party planners” (10 tags on one A1-Mini-sized plate). I suggest using PETG for longer durability of the studs.

To change the text of the name tag, open the file in Bambu Studio, then select the Objects tab. Click on a name tag on the print bed, then click on “NAME_TEXT” in the Objects menu. As the NAME_TEXT object is highlighted, click on the “Text Shape” button on the toolbar (at the top of your screen). You will then see a drop-down menu that allows you to change the name, font, point size, etc. of the text object. After you finish printing the name tag, you can then superglue a bar pin on the back of the print (these are fairly easy to find at most craft stores; I found a pack of 60 1-inch bar pins from Michaels for $3). You should superglue the bar pins slightly above dead-center on the back to ensure your name tag stays forward-facing when you wear it (otherwise it may droop over).
