Climbing Gear Rack / Organizer (Parametric)
A lightweight, fully customizable rack designed to organize climbing gear such as quickdraws, carabiners, slings, belay devices, prusik cord, and more.
This is NOT a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Do not use it for belaying, rappelling, anchoring, or any safety-critical application.
This model is intended for gear storage and organization only.
Avoid using filaments containing abrasive additives (such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark, or metallic particles), especially if ropes, slings, or cords may come into contact with the rack.
This model is fully parametric, allowing you to easily adjust:
- Top row hole count (used to hang the organizer with carabiners or slings)
- Bottom staggered rows hole count (for quickdraws, carabiners, or other gear)
- Hole diameters (top and bottom rows are independent)
- Hole spacing (top and bottom rows are independent)
- Organizer thickness
Designed specifically for 3D printing, with no excessive overhangs (maximum 45° on all rounded profiles and chamfers).
What can you change?
Download the Fusion 360 design file, open it, then go to Solid → Modify → Change Parameters to customize it.

Parameters
| Parameter | Default Value | Description |
| bottom_holes_count | 19 |
Number of bottom rows holes (quickdraws, two bottom rows). If a even number is provided, an extra hole will be added.
Minimum: 5 |
| bottom_holes_diameter | 15 mm | Bottom holes diameter (quickdraws). |
| bottom_holes_distance_horizontal | 10 mm |
Horizontal distance between bottom holes (quickdraws).
Keep lower than 'bottom_holes_diameter'. |
| bottom_rows_diagonal_distance | 5 mm | Diagonal distance between bottom rows. |
| top_holes_count | 3 |
Number of top row holes (carabiners).
Minimum: 2 |
| top_holes_diameter | 18 mm | Top holes diameter (carabiners). |
| top_holes_distance_horizontal | holes_wall (5 mm) | Horizontal distance between top holes (carabiners). |
| holes_fillet | 2.5 mm | Fillet base for all the holes. |
| holes_wall | 5 mm | Thickness of the walls around all the holes. |
| rack_edges_chamfer | 1 mm | Chamfer for the edges. |
| rack_spacing | 5 mm | Spacing between the top row and the two bottom rows. |
| rack_thickness | 10 mm | Overall thickness. |
Overhangs & Printability
This model is made for FDM 3D printing, avoiding any excessive overhangs.
- Gear holes use rounded printable profiles starting at 45° to reduce firsts layers deformation.
- The organizer is using 45° chamfers for the edges.

Printing recommendations
- For heavier climbing gear, PETG, ASA or ABS are recommended.
- Increasing wall count is preferred over increasing infill for better strength and durability.
- If you experience adhesion issues, make sure your build plate is thoroughly cleaned.
