While building the CyberBrick truck, I ran into a step that required cutting the servo motor arm — something I wasn’t too keen on since it’s kinda irreversible.
So I opened OpenSCAD, grabbed my caliper, and designed a printable replacement instead!
The result is a fully configurable servo arm that fits the original CyberBrick design but can be easily tweaked for your own tolerances. With the MakerWorld customizer, you can fine-tune every dimension — or even go beyond the original and make the arm shorter or longer to fit your build perfectly.
Printing Tips
Supports are recommended due to the floating bottom section. If you skip them, the underside will look rough but still work fine — I printed mine that way and just cleaned it up with a knife.
A standard 0.2 mm layer height works well (or 0.1 mm if you’re using a 0.2 mm nozzle).
Customization
The tiny guiding holes are extremely small and tricky to print — they don’t come out clean with a 0.4 mm nozzle and are barely visible even at 0.2 mm.
To fix that, the model lets you:
- Toggle the guiding holes on or off
- Choose exactly how many holes to include before cutting
- Adjust all key dimensions and tolerances
