This model is a simple but powerful color mixing test print designed to show what is possible with just 4 base colors: Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and White (CYMW).

Using alternating filament layers, this print creates 10 solid-looking colors from only those 4 inputs. For example, cyan + yellow produces a clean green, letting you preview mixed-color results without needing a huge number of spools.

I created this model to help bring more attention to the FullSpectrum color-mixing workflow and make it easier for more people to try. The goal is to let anyone test the concept directly in Bambu Studio or the Bambu Handy app without having to dig deep into a special slicer fork first.

How it works

The model is split into many very thin individual layers at 0.1 mm layer height. By alternating two colors back and forth layer-by-layer, the print produces a visually solid mixed color instead of obvious stripes. This makes it a great demo piece for testing color blending behavior on real prints.

Why this model exists

This test print was made to help showcase and promote the idea behind:
OrcaSlicer FullSpectrum
https://github.com/ratdoux/OrcaSlicer-FullSpectrum

The more people who see what this approach can do, the better the chance that something similar may eventually be implemented natively in Bambu Studio.

Recommended setup

  • Best results with 0.1 mm layer height
  • Works as an easy demo print for testing mixed-color output
  • Dual-nozzle printers such as the H2C and H2D are highly recommended to reduce filament waste and cut down on unnecessary color changes

Perfect for

  • Testing CYMW mixing behavior
  • Showing off color blending possibilities
  • Comparing mixed colors side by side
  • Demonstrating FullSpectrum-style printing to others

If this model helps you, please consider sharing your results and helping spread awareness of the FullSpectrum project.
