Drawer handles with interchangeable covers (97mm)

An experiment - handles with interchangeable covers.

There are two cylinders, a handle, various covers, which you can snap in place, and inserts, which you can print any colour you want.

97mm between screws - cheap IKEA furniture standard, including closets, drawers.

There are two types of cylinder bases:

1 - Cylinder Base Threaded Screw - you can screw from inside of the drawer, as usual.

The threads inside of the Base Threaded Screw are accept both self tapping screws (for plastic handles), and screws with fine thread (for metal handles). You can reuse your existing furniture screws.

2 - Cylinder Base Screw Through you can screw from the front of the handle, and then conceal it with an insert.

If you are using Base Through Screw, you will need at least 35mm long screws with a 3.5mm in diameter.

And with the “Text” feature in Bambu Studio you can add your own text on an empty handle. You can use it for a storage organisation purpose, or whatever you like, but keep in mind that a center peaces of letters will fall off due to the lack of support (see photo with "Arduino" sign). As an alternative, you can use an AMS and print your text on the insert plate and use a “Cover hollow” frame with it (see pictures and instruction in print profile).

All parts that faces you should print face down on textured PEI to gain a nice finish.
