This is my EDC blade solution. Great for slicing open boxes, slitting or scraping. It is made for single-edge razor blades that are thinner, sharper and cheaper than the trapezoidal utility knife blades. It clicks into both the open and closed positions for secure handling.

To load the blade, first close the holder and slide the blade in from the end as shown in the second photo. You'll have to wiggle it a little  to get it past the blade latch. When you've pushed it in as far as you can from the end, open the holder and slide the blade to the end, past the latch.

The 3rd photo shows the end of the blade latch. To remove the blade, pull the latch forward with your fingernail and then slide the blade through the hinge towards the handle as shown in the 4th photo. (Make sure the holder is fully open.) You can then lift the blade up through the handle. (You could load the blade this way, but it tricky and potentially hazardous the push the blade in from this direction.)
