This is a modular FPV drone launch pad designed for safe, stable, and reliable takeoffs of FPV quadcopters and octocopters.

 

 

 The system uses two standard 1.5L water bottles as ballast, which are secured to the base using two FPV-style battery straps. The weight of the water bottles provides excellent stability during motor spool-up and initial throttle, even for powerful FPV setups. 

 

On top of the ballast base, you mount one of the interchangeable launch plates, depending on your drone configuration: 

• Single-battery mount for 5-inch FPV drones with the battery mounted underneath 

• Dual-battery mount for larger 10-inch FPV drones (8 motors) using two batteries underneath 

 

The launch plate is fixed in place using one M5 × 30 mm bolt and one nut, allowing quick assembly and secure locking.

 

 To operate: 

1. Secure the two water bottles to the base using the straps 

2. Install the appropriate launch plate and tighten the M5 bolt 

3. Place the drone on top of the platform 

4. Arm the drone and take off smoothly 

 

For additional safety and grip, it is recommended to add a rubber anti-slip sticker or pad on the top surface to prevent the drone from sliding during arming and throttle-up. 

This launch pad is ideal for: 

• Uneven or rocky terrain 

• Sand, grass, or dirt 

• High-powered FPV drones requiring extra stability at takeoff
