"Hex (1942)" is a 3D printable replica of the 1942 board game "Hex" invented by Piet Hein.
The original version (Piet Hein, 1942) is played on a 11x11 hexagonal grid.
The supposedly optimised version (John Nash, 1948) is played on a 14x14 hexagonal grid.

GAME OVERVIEW
The aim of the game is to be the first to connect two opposite sides of the board with your tokens.
I recommend placing the lid under the board, so each player can see the two sides of their color to connect.
Taking turns one at a time, players place one of their tokens anywhere on the 11x11 hexagonal grid.
Since there is a mathematical proof that the first move has a winning advantage, there is the swap (or pie) rule: after the first player has made his first move, the other player can choose whether to take the opponent's last move or proceed with a new one.
