High-Capacity Magnetic Lint Bin

A straightforward, high-capacity lint box designed to attach directly to the side of a washer or dryer. This design was born out of necessity when my wife requested a significantly larger bin to keep up with the endless stream of laundry generated by three kids and two long-haired dogs. We tried some other great models that already existed and they were just too quick too fill up, so it was a good basic project for me to practice my design skills (still learning)

The model features a filleted trim around the top and bottom edges, along with a raised oval plaque on the front face that allows for easy text or logo customization in your slicer.

A Note on the Logo & Mesh Errors I used Bambu Studio's mesh graffiti feature to apply the logo to the front of the box in the included print profile. For some reason, exporting this creates "mesh errors" in the file. Do not repair these errors. They have absolutely no impact on the actual print quality. If you click "Repair" in Bambu Studio, it will wipe out the color painting and the image entirely. I have also attached the standalone logo file so you can apply it yourself or customize the colors as needed!

Hardware Requirements To ensure the bin stays firmly in place and resists the shear force of a vibrating machine, the back panel is specifically designed to use heavy-duty magnets.

• Required Magnets: 2-4x  Magnets (I used D82B-N52 Neodymium Magnets)
• Magnet Dimensions: 1/2" diameter x 1/8" thick (12.7mm x 3.175mm)
• Modeled Hole Dimensions: 13mm diameter x 3.3mm deep

Note: The modeled holes are slightly oversized to account for standard FDM printing tolerances, allowing for a clean press-fit. A drop of CA glue can be used to secure them permanently.
