Here's an interlocking and flexible train tracks set that will allow you to build continuous tracks with ramps, curves and splits that never come apart.
These are fully compatible with Brio/Ikea/Lidl tracks, without any extra adapters required.
The tracks employ springy and hinged connectors that provides them interlocking capabilities and flexibility.
All modules are:
- double-sided
- can be printed in place without supports
- designed to save filament and print faster
Note: The sides facing the print bed come out a bit rough, due to the bridging, but that can actually help with the wheels having a better grip on the tracks. So if you see that your trains are sliding, you may consider flipping the tracks with the rough sides up.
Here's what you can achieve using these tracks:
- Your tracks will never come apart ever again
- You won't need other types for tracks for ramps and curves
- Edges of the carpet are not going to be an issue anymore
- You can build as many 3 way splits as you want
- The newly added articulated segment can help with the tighter curves
I've printed these with PETG but PLA will probably work as well.
Update: I've added an articulated track to handle curves with smaller radius:

To create ramps, the double socket tracks connected with the springy simple connector are better suited. Use them like in the image:

or you can introduce a longer hinged track between them, if it works better for you, like this:

Chaining the smallest hinged connectors naturally create curves:

You can use the smallest ones to create tighter curves.
