John Deere GX10168 Deck Wheel (5 in)
John Deere GX10168-Style Deck Gauge / Anti-Scalp Wheel — L111 42-Inch Deck
This is a 3D-printable replacement deck gauge / anti-scalp wheel that I modeled for my John Deere L111 with a 42-inch mower deck.
The wheel is based around the common John Deere GX10168-style deck wheel dimensions.
This is not an official John Deere part. It is a user-made replacement model intended for personal repair, testing, and replacement use. Please verify your original wheel dimensions before printing or installing.

Material Notes
I printed and tested mine using eSUN ABS. After printing, I spray-painted the wheel with a UV-resistant spray paint to help protect it from outdoor exposure.
For this application, ASA is likely the better material choice because it is better suited for UV exposure and outdoor use than ABS.
ABS, ASA, PETG, nylon, polycarbonate blends, or another tough outdoor-capable material may also work. Use a material that can handle heat, sun exposure, vibration, and impact.
I would not recommend PLA for long-term mower use because of heat, sun exposure, vibration, and impact.
Installation Notes
- Make sure the wheel spins freely on the bolt after printing.
- If the bore prints slightly tight, lightly drill or ream it to fit.
- Do not force the wheel onto the bolt if the bore is undersized.
- These are gauge / anti-scalp wheels and should not carry the full deck weight during normal mowing.
- Set the deck height and deck wheel position correctly after installation.
- Test fit before mowing.
- Inspect the wheel after the first use and periodically afterward.
Disclaimer
This is a user-made 3D model, not an official John Deere replacement part. Use at your own risk. Verify fitment, material strength, and safe mower operation before regular use.
