Kids Routine Toggle Board — Custom Rows - Paper Insert is a 3D-printable, customizable routine/habit tracker designed to work like a picture frame: you place a printed paper sheet inside, then slide the top frame in to lock everything in place—no glue required.
Each row has:
- Left window to display your printed task text and picture
- Right sliding toggle to mark done / not done (or any two states)
This model is fully parametric in MakerWorld, so you can easily change:
- Number of rows
- Overall size (width)
- Row height/spacing
- Toggle track size
- Clearances/tolerances (for your printer/material)
Parts included
- Background Tray (picture-frame base)
- Top Frame Insert (slides into the tray and shows the rows)
- Sliders/Toggles (one per row)
- In the parameters you can generate each part separated, or all of them together.
Why paper insert?
It lets you update routines anytime—print a new sheet, slide the frame out/in, done. Great for daily schedules, chores, morning routines, bedtime routines, etc.
How to assemble
-
Print the parts
- Print Background Tray
- Print Top Frame Insert
- Print Sliders (one per row)
-
Insert the sliders
- From the top side of the Top Frame Insert, drop each slider into its toggle track.
- The slider design is captured (cap/neck/body), so it stays locked in the frame while still sliding left/right.
-
Add your paper
- Place your printed routine sheet inside the Background Tray.
-
Slide the Top Frame into the tray
- Align the Top Frame Insert above the tray opening.
- Slide it down into the tray.
- The corner tabs flex and snap/hold the frame in place (no glue).
-
Use it
- Slide each toggle left/right to mark the task state.
To remove/replace paper
Carefully flex the corner tab(s) to release and slide the frame back out, swap paper, slide back in.
How to print from the customization
- In the parameters you can generate each part separated, or all of them together. "all" | "assembly" | "background" | "frame" | “sliders”
- IMPORTANT if you choose to print all, after downloading the 3mf file, in bambulab right click the object and divide into objects, then you will be able to move them around.
- IMPORTANT right click objects and repair them before printing
- Now print :) Bellow I added the config I used
Printing notes / recommended settings
- Material: PLA works, PETG is even better for snap tabs.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Supports: None
- Perimeters: 3+ recommended for strong tray walls and tabs
- If the frame fit is tight/loose, tweak:
- frame_fit_clear
- clearance (slider movement)
-
If tabs are too stiff, increase tab_len or reduce tab_th.
