One lazy Sunday afternoon, I snapped a picture of my dog—ears perked, tongue out, tail caught mid-wag. I uploaded it to ChatGPT, curious to see how it could transform a simple snapshot into something special. In seconds, it returned a simplified 3D model of my furry friend. The likeness was uncanny—clean lines, soft edges, and that unmistakable charm that only my dog had.
Next, I took the simplified model and passed it through a tool designed to sculpt 3D magic out of digital clay. With a few tweaks and nudges, my pup’s shape took fuller form. Once satisfied, I uploaded the final model into Makerworld's 2D to 3D maker. The result? A tangible version of my companion, captured forever in layers of filament.
Sure, the surface had a bit of fuzzy skin—those tiny imperfections every maker knows—but that only made it more real, more him. Now he sits proudly on my shelf: a 3D-printed tribute to a four-legged friend, frozen in time but forever close.
