The snub dodecahedron is a polyhedron with 92 faces, 150 edges, and 60 vertices. It is made up of 12 pentagons and 80 equilateral triangles Kepler first named it in Latin as dodecahedron simum in 1619 in his Harmonices Mundi.. The snub dodecahedron is a chiral solid, meaning that it has a left-handed and a right-handed form, which are mirror images of one another. It is one of the 13 Archimedean solids, which are convex polyhedra that can be constructed from regular polygons.
