I wanted a strong magnetic plate to use with my Skadis pegboard.
Unfortunate couldn't find my exact needs so created one from scratch.
This plate can hold up to 9 30x10x5mm magnets.
Recommended print settings:
-Print with 4 bottom and top layers
-For strength I advise 3 or 4 shells
-Print with 0.2mm layer height (The possition of the magnets is choosen with that size in mind)
-Print flat with the pegs on top (See example buidplate images)
-Print with supports on for the 3 pegs on top.
-Pause the print at the start of the 28th layer to insert the magnets
-Check your slicer if you need a support blocker for the inside of the places where you place the magnets (See example image)
The clearance for the magnets is 0.2mm on each side. This can mean that it could be a snug fit if the tollerance of your printer or fillament is not very accurate or perhaps the magnet dimensions are a bit off.
