Kids are going through a Maze Phase and decided to use some of the ball bearings I had purchased for other projects to work.
Designed pixel by pixel in photoshop with 4mm steps in place for use with an 8mm Bearing (4mm walls, 8mm path) , HOWEVER first time I went to print on my new bambu found out that it is not truly 256x256mm print bed, but with a corner lopped off… so scaled it to 21x21cm for a 6mm bearing. Could probably scale slightly smaller and would still work.
After I had the picture of my maze, I exported as an SVG and then threw it into Tinkercad and tweaked it a bit with the Start/Finish and Included a bit of a cubby bottom left to hold the bearings when not in use.
Feel free to print and give as gifts/sell, but it took a number of hours to create, so at minimum please leave my watermark and post all your makes! :-)
Prints fine in Draft mode, 2 perimeters,
I was being stingy with filament and did 10% infill with 3 top layers and there was some SLIGHT issues at a very fast print speed, so id suggest a 15% infill and or 4 top layers to ensure a smooth roll, (Which is what I uploaded) But, you know what'll work best for your printer.
