I broke our cordless electric screwdriver's (metabo 14.4 LI + ASC 30, see attached photo) box latch and trying to repair the old one failed. So modelled it from scratch to get as close to the original as possible. I'm quite happy with the result.
When looking at the photos, you'll see the left latch is the original and the right one is the replacement.
Obviously I had to remove the logo before publishing for rights reasons… But you can find the logo as free SVG on the web and add it yourself.
I printed mine at 0.08-0.2 variable layer height in PETG with standard supports and a 25% triangle infill for more stability. Also ironing all top surfaces with 25% flow & 0.1mm line spacing made a HUGE difference.
Because I got the feedback, that the latch would not fit on every box that looks like mine, I added a longer latch to the profile. Measure your box / broken latch from the middle of the pin to the surface, that gets clamped to the other half of the box. Decide if your box is closer to 42 or 48mm and print the according object.
