Mini Chopper for Kids (Print in Place)

Print in place, no supports needed.

I printed this model for my son a while ago and while I really like the design and idea, it was not nearly sturdy enough to survive for long. So I took some heavy inspiration and build a sturdier version (from scratch).
 

• the rotor hub is much wider and has increased infill
• the rotor blades are much thicker
• sturdier landing gear
• hole for magnet on the bottom (6x2mm)
• hook to attach some string at the rotor hub (e.g. to hang the helicopter from the ceiling)

This print requires good print adhesion, so use a textured or super tack plate. You might get some cosmetic defects.

The tolerances are quite generous and the rotor should be able to rotate after some initial force to loosen it up.
