Multi Part 3D BENCHY (fusion360)

Remix Info:

I split the full model into parts than can be printable on a regular non-mmu printer. The model was also cleaned from 2 watermarks on it as it is now in public domain.

Summary:

Creativetools's 3D Benchy printable in color on a non-mmu 3d printer and assemblable without glue.

Model Description:

I made this model essentially as challenge to learn on how to manually cut models in blender.

I didn't realise that 3D BENCHY was originally designed into pieces then merged by Prusa. It would certainly have been easier would it have been kept splittable or if I would have found the Creativetools's version first but it would have been a regular easy multi part remix then with no real challenge.

The fusion file is provided would you want to adjust the tolerances, see how it's done or simply edit the model easily.

Printing Information:

• Use arborescent tree supports for all the pieces.
• All print can be printed separately and the hull and number plate can be split to easily use a filament swap
• Print the pieces on their connector(s) or on a flat face if there are none.
• Use a brim around the small pieces to increase their stability

All pieces should press-fit together and don't require glue but if needed you can adjust the tolerances in fusion or simply use a bit of glue (the connectors will help with alignment in any case)

Note that sadly at regular scale with a 0.4 nozzle the number plate letters aren't really readable

Note also that, by splitting the model, it has lost its main feature which was its use as benchmark, this model is therefore more toy-like.
