This is a simple snap you can use to attach the spool holders that come with the Prusa XL to your openGrid Full board.
Required parts: You will need the following additional parts:
- M4 hex nut
- M4x16 screw (note: This is NOT the one coming with the spool holder)
Assembly instructions: Basically you only need to put the M4 hex nut into the snap. The screw the spool onto there. Then care for the little arrow on the snap, this needs to be pointing upwards. Push the snap into the board with this side first, then rotate the whole snap in. And you are done.
Additional notes: I recommend printing this with at least 3 perimeters/outer walls. You can increase this to get additional strength. If you put a mounting snap just above the spool holder you will also increase the strength.
The snap should be able to hold 2kg of filament without any issue (see photo with extended spool holder and two spools). The snap uses an optimised version of the directional snap for additional strength.
