Quick Release Fishing Magnet

• Easy lure and hook retrieval

Assembly Instructions:

1. Carefully remove any support material from the magnet holes. Next, select a two-part epoxy or your preferred adhesive for securing the magnets. When arranging the magnets in a ring configuration, ensure alternating polarity (N-S-N-S-N-S-N-S). It's crucial to allow the adhesive to fully cure before proceeding, However if you are impatient a shim can be used to apply pressure on the spring and prevent magnets from sticking to the bottom.
2. Proceed by placing the spring over the threads of the magnet holder. Then, position the lid over the spring and screw the eye hook onto the magnet holder securely.
3. Apply adhesive to the inner rim of the lid, and carefully affix it to the bottom cup. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to completely cure before further handling.

*I have included a 3D printed spring, but please note that it has not been tested yet. Initially, I used a spring salvaged from an old printer. Depending on interest level, I may further develop the 3D printed spring and add clips to the lid and cup portions for easier assembly and disassembly.

Bill of Materials:

• 8 magnets, each measuring 9mm in diameter and 3mm in thickness
• 2 part epoxy or adhesive of your choice
• 1 compression spring with dimensions ranging from:
  • Outer diameter: 15mm
  • Inner diameter: 9mm
  • Length: adjustable from 14.5mm to 28mm
• Various 3D printed parts, including:
  • Magnet holder
  • Lid
  • Bottom cup
  • Eye hook
