The ruler is designed to measure 20 cm from 0 to 0 (as in the gif).
I have included the ruler in two versions of the bearing with 12 and 11 balls (in my opinion, with 11 balls there is no resistance and can be used without lubrication).
A TPU filament printout is necessary, providing better adhesion to the substrate (found in the TPU tape.3mf file - Fuzzy Skin).

Accuracy +- 1 mm (judge for yourself).
