Rubber band powered flying butterfly prank

This is a prank butterfly toy. After printing, some assembly and post-processing is required.

Required:

1. Lighter or running hot water

2. Rubber band (I find that two size #8 rubber bands work best)

    

To build:

1. Print fuselage and rotor.
2. CAREFULLY use a lighter to soften the wing arms on the rotor and twist them slightly so it becomes like a propeller.  Alternatively, you can hold the rotor under running hot water for a few seconds and twist the wing arms into place.  Rotating each wing about 45 degrees around its axis works well for me.
3. Install the rotor into the hub and attach the rubber band(s) on the hooks.  I find that two #8 size bands work well.  A #32 band also works well if you twist it and reduce its length by ½.
