Solar Repeater Case Meshcore Meshtastic Xiao 18650

I built a few repeaters for LoRa MeshCore, but my biggest problem was always the enclosure size. Most cases were simply too large for the components.

So I decided to design my own enclosure that could be printed and assembled quickly whenever I needed to deploy another repeater.

My goal was to create a simple and widely accessible setup using six 18650 cells and easy-to-find components.

The design is based on:

• Xiao nRF52840 + Wio-SX1262
• CN3791 solar charger
• 1S BMS
• Standard solar panel
• Up to six 18650 cells (you can install fewer if needed)

In my area, sunny days are sometimes limited, so using six cells gives me enough backup capacity. However, the enclosure is flexible and works perfectly with fewer batteries as well.

The solar panel dimensions are 12 × 17 cm.

Materials Required

• Brass inserts M2.5 × 5 mm — 16 pcs
• Screws M2.6 × 8 mm / 10 mm — 16 pcs
• M4 button head screws 18 mm — 4 pcs
• M4 flat head screws 15 mm — 8 pcs
• M4 button head screws 55 mm — 4 pcs
• Silicone sealant or liquid gasket (if you do not have TPU filament)
