Remixed/Upgraded spacer for a popular ~$25 shoe rack that can be used for storing filament. The rack is made of 13mm diameter tubes, which this spacer attaches to. Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Q678QVP
Provides 35mm of extra space between the shelves, making it much easier to add and remove filament rolls and boxes. Fusion 360 file is included so you can tweak this if you want (see the Parameters).
Improvements:
- Tighter fit so the whole (empty) rack stays in one piece for easier moving
- No unsightly gap between spacer and plastic shelf support
- Slightly reduced sleeve length to save filament without compromising function
- Made some of the interior solid to save filament
- Gap in the top part allows for a more reliable, snug fit
Highly recommend printing them at least 4 at a time. Printed mine in PETG, but PLA and other rigid materials should work fine.
